| | This week's Clean and Simple challenge is a sketch challenge. I chose to flip the sketch on its side and use one of the images from a piece of Authentique paper that my LSS owner recommended to me. This paper has lots of adorable, old-fashioned Valentines on it and they are perfect for distressing. Vintage isn't my usual style, and CAS vintage is even harder than I expected! I had to restrain myself to keep from adding elements to this card!
I started by cutting the image and distressing it. Next I cut a mat from the reverse side of the paper, distressed it and adhered the image to the mat. I die cut a border from natural white card stock and distressed that, too. I attached the border to the larger panel and added three brads, then attached the entire piece to a dark brown card stock base, which was cut slightly smaller than A2 size for a better fit.
