When I saw Beate's Tutorial this week, I knew I wanted to try it. It's called Puzzle Piece Resist and it's a variation of embossed resist. I think it turned out ok, except that the only heart die I have is this huge one by Memory Box and the way it's made, it doesn't have a "lip" like the Spellbinders dies so I was unable to have a white edge.
After I stamped multiple rows of the crochet lace border with Versamark and clear embossed them, I die cut the big heart out of this background. I also die cut the buttons out of the heart portion. I sponged on black ink on the big background, angel pink on the heart and rosebud on the buttons then put them back.
I clear embossed a small section of the larger crochet bg and used it for the label under the sentiment and the extra button. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Beautiful and very interesting, Julie!! You did a great job lining up the lace on the bg, the heart and buttons (straight is not in my persona)! I love the wonderful contrasts of color!

This is really a terrific card - beautiful embossing and perfectly matched "puzzle" pieces! Love the colors and the sentiment piece, too!
