We want to take the fear out of mixed media and show you that it can fit into any style! My personal style is clean and simple, which people don't normally think of when they think of mixed media, so my goal is to mix up some CAS projects!
My challenge is called Yin Yang, and all you have to do for this challenge is mix a matte finish with a shiny finish on your project.
For mine, I chose gesso for my matte finish, and embossing powder for my shiny finish - easy!
I finished it off with some reinker watercoloring - and to prove to you how easy it is to do, I made a video for you

loveya, meanit.... thanks for the great new challenge. i will play as i can. i have photos i could take of things i've already made but that would be totally cheating. so i dragged out some su supplies and i have my thinking cap on. i think i am getting the same bug patty b is getting, and the only cure for either of us is to inhale some matte gel medium....

That's beautiful, Lydia! I need to heat-emboss more .
I picked up an Italian book for using, but it's quite light paper and it's not as good as I'd hoped. It would look wrinkled after the gesso, whereas your page looks pristine and smooth.
