Tudor Cottage Card

This is a very old Comotion stamp I've had for years. (I didn't spell Comotion wrong, it only has one "m" in the name). I love coloring with Copics on Core'dinations Pearl paper, and everyone who sees it in person loves the iridescence of it, especially when combined with gold embossing. I did this card the same way using versamark, gold EP and Copics.

The image looked really pretty when I finished it, but I don't really like the way I did the card. If you're like me, you know how it is to try one thing after another for hours, and never come up with anything you really like.

Anyway, rather than just putting the image away for later like I usually do when I can't figure out anything I like, I made the card using a very dark green pearlescent card for the matting, and a patterned paper from my stash.

The only thing that looked half way okay for embellishments were a few pearls. It's not ugly, but it isn't my favorite either.

I do the same thing - finish an image and then can't find whatt I want to finish it, so put it away 'til later. This is beautifully done! Priscilla

Beautiful coloring! Love the subtle tones and the shine! I never thought to use copics on a shiny surface. Thanks for the idea!
