Oh - how sad that she never got to see it! It's so beautiful.
I can remember posting a card to my mother in her last illness, and by the time it arrived she was too sedated to even be aware of it. I took it back, but I didn't have the heart to open it. My sympathy to you on the passing of your mother.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother, not sure what I'm going to do when that time comes. My mom will be 88 this year. This is such a beautiful piece. WOW!
