When the faux patina technique (TLC370) came around, I wasn't able to do it. I've loved everything I've seen with this technique and had to finally break down and try it.
for the technique, I started with a piece of summer starfruit cardstock, then used island indigo, soft suede and versamark with gold embossing powder. I like how it turned out, but DH says it looks like a funeral card. I didn't know what he meant and asked him to explain. He tells me it looks more like a sympathy card than a birthday card.
I also used TLC404, embossed edges on the sentiment.
