I am late again with the TeaPot Tuesday challenge. This week we are bringing flowers to a friend of SparklePlenty1000. Sherry has had a difficult year, and is in need of some cheer. Read more here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...n-t566647.html
I am not sure what this flower is called, but it will surely look fine amidst the tulips from the teapot. The butterfly is another note of spring, and maybe better days to come.
I used a bright white and a winter white, along with a new (to me) Cheery Lynn butterfly. I used a Martha Stewart edging punch to cut the strip at the top - I find it a bit tricky, but cut from both edges to get the lacy look.
This is the sketch from week 2 of the January Verve challenges.

Dorothy what a beautiful card! I love the clean look - but adore all of the intricate details. Your wonderfully colored image is the perfect focal point. Life has been getting in the way of my crafting too, so I'm especially glad to see that you could come to the tea party this week for our Phyllis and for Sherry. Hugz and extra cookies, we'll always have plenty for you.

So pretty Dorothy! I love the white die cut and embossing and that pretty flower. I actually took that stamp out today to use it for another challenge.

Oh Dorothy - that is gorgeous! So light and airy and happy-making. I have to admit I don't recognise the flower either - but maybe it's an American one that we don't have here :-).

What a beautiful card you made! Your flowers look so pretty and delicate against all the layers of white and the embossed background. The butterfly at the bottom is a beautiful touch too.
