Judy gave us a present for this week's Learn a New Technique Challenge. We got to pick ANY of the TLC challenges from 2012 for our card. Thanks Judy!!!
I was so happy to see this because when I first joined SCS one of the first challenges I wanted to try was TLC371. But I didn't have an embossing folder with a tight design. I coveted the SU! Square Lattice EF....and in December I finally got one! LOL
I cut the center circle with a SB die and glued the flowers to it. I ran it thru my Big Kick several times to be sure all the flowers were completely pressed down. I saved the negative of the die cut circle and used it for my center panel. Using dimensionals, I place the pressed circle back in place. I added the side panels and Cheery Lynn flourishes (there are two cut up) and lastly the larger layered flower with the brad center.
I think this will make a great thank you card for my MIL (the other Martha Stewart LOL)
Thanks again Judy!

I knew which challenge you chose before reading anything, Kathleen. I'm glad you wrote that you used the negative because I could not tell there was a circular image cut out! I had to look really hard to find it. Beautiful flowers pressed together and pretty outside flower too!

Wowza Kathleen!!!!!!!! This is gorgeous!!!! It looks just like a batik type fabric. I have never done this technique, but may have to now, after seeing how yours turned out. It is just so vibrant and alive. Glad you got the square lattice emboss folder. I use mine all the time and it is so darn versatile. That is one item I couldn't live without. Faving this!
