This is the card I made using the emboss resist technique for a recent free-for-all challenge. Did you ever have one of those days you really shouldn't have been crafting? This is that card...
I threw everything in the world on this after heat embossing the image with clear ep on watercolor paper. I started with shimmering watercolors, but the colors weren't deep enough, so I went direct-to-paper with Milled Lavender and Antique Linen distress ink, let it dry and added more shimmery wc. Unfortunately, I was a little impatient and started buffing the embossing too quickly. Rubbed a spot right out of the top layer - GRRR! But I salvaged two small pieces.
The plan for the sentiment, embossed on vellum, was to cut it with deckle scissors so it would match the focal. Bad idea - so I ended up fussy-cutting the sentiment and attaching it with spray adhesive.
Considering how many times this almost went in file 13, I'm kind of happy with the way it turned out...
As always, thanks for taking a peek!
