For the inspiration challenge I liked all the sunflower dishes but didnÂ’t care for that color combo so I kept looking through the site and found this bow and thought it would be perfect for the sunflower image.
Thanks for the challenge Stef!
I find it hard to pass up a nice sunflower image and just had to have this one from Impression Obsession. Gary Robertson is the artist and I sure like his style!
For the butterflies I stamped just that portion of image three extra times and cut out. The flower petal goes over the right wind (easy to see if you click on the image link under images) so I blended that area in by placing tiny dots using a fine tip (size 0.3) Copic marker. A Marvy marker was used to color the edge of the images and AleeneÂ’s tacky glue was the adhesive to attach it to the card. See a close up photo on this direct link to post link on my blog.
The Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting was used to cut the borders. Use any brand craft knife or rotary cutter for cutting. A tutorial video can be found on the company site. I used the 1/16” and 1/8” rulers and a craft knife for this project.
Stampin Up mat pack and Bazzill piercer were used to create the holes for the brads
To tone down the red card stock border I applied grey ink using a mesh dauber. This type of dauber doesnÂ’t cover the entire card stock.
Paper: Beckett Expressions – Iceberg (for image), Bazzill – grey textured and smooth red, Provo Craft black dot and stripe papers, Stamping Station – red leaf paper
Ink: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Stampin Up – Going Gray
