What a wonderful site Stef and Sallie had for us this morning. I could have spent a lot more time looking - but we have a weekend guest and have to go out this evening.
I went with this cute Chicken Plate, and made a birthday card, as I'm trying to stock up on them.
A2 pale mint green base.
Unknown spotted paper.
Computer-generated sentiment and speech bubble - font is CAC One Seventy.
Button tied with raffia, foliage is Spellbinders 2.
IO Chicken 3 (E7596) stamped on watercolour paper and cut with Spellbinders circles. I masked her off and stamped the CAC Gradation ( CC015) background with Wild Honey, and then sponged, also with Wild Honey. Chick is coloured with Wild Honey, Weathered Wood and Barn Door, edges sponged with dark grey and then layered up on some BG Basics that looks a little like chicken wire, also sponged with gray.
Isn't she a sweetie chicken :D; Chicken 1 with her little chef's toque is on her way to me and I'm looking forward to having her in the hen-coop.
This is also for the current IO It's Your Choice challenge.

What a really wonderful, cute, and fun card, Sabrina! Pretty colors and design too! Thanks for playing and good luck in the drawing too! Don't forget we are having a hop starting Monday and drawings every day too!

Oh, Sabrina, if you wanted to do stripes and flowers, you should have....BUT your chicken plate is TERRIFIC. The colors remind me of early MacK-C when they did a lot of squiggles and flowers on dishes and glasses. You captured the fun and whimsy of their designs.
