This set is from the new 2013 Spring Mini and it is one of my swap cards for Lyssa's "Convention Quality Swap" (CQS) group 2 at Leadership next week. I fell in love with the stamp set as soon as I saw it and knew I wanted to do something with the First Edition "newspaper" looking DSP.
To make the little heart in the sentiment red I stamped the sentiment in black then went over the heart with the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details (glitter glue) and I walked away and let it dry overnight. It was hard to keep my mitts of it for that long but it worked out great!
to get the "medallion" I ran black cardstock thru the oval embossing folder then cut it out with one of the Labels framelits (saw this on someone's blog a year ago...great idea for layering that folder!) but it might be easier to cut the framelit first and then line it up in the oval embossing folder so you make sure it's centered). Let it dry OVERNIGHT...trust me on that! The rhinestones are from SU but I colored them with a black Sharpie marker.
