Happy New Year!!
It has been a busy week, back to work with all my little ones. I am so happy I got a chance to play this am. and look at the site. Wow...looks wonderful. Here is the tray I saw and in the thumbnail, it reminded me of this old wooden sled....could be too, that we have been sledding all week at our nearby hill. http://www.mackenzie-childs.com/shop...0428&refid=sli
I masked the oval, sponged on Distress ink then leaving the mask in place, stamped the sled and coloured with Copics. It reminds me of the sled I have hanging on my wall that belonged to my MIL that is over 80 yrs. old.
Hope you like it and thanks so much for looking.

This is lovely and oh so nostalgic..I had a sled like this (not as old as your MIL's) and spent hours sledding down a neighbor's hill. Your coloring is just right and the sponging and piercing (?) make for a fabulous frame.

Very beautiful Karen! I love those brick red and goldy yellow colours. Just right for an old feeling. The sponged oval makes it look like view through to another time. TFS

How cool Karen!!! I love all of the warmth you have captured inside of your oval. I like sleds, and they remind me of antiques too. That sounds so awesome to have your mil's sled. I bet it looks wonderful inside of your house. Happy New Year!! :>)

The sled totally fits the inspiration piece. We too have an old sled hanging on the wall that is seventy years old and now I want to get the stamp you used. TFS your image and your story.

Wow! This is a fantastic sled and your colouring and design are perfect! Our sled was like this too and probably just as old. We kept it in Grama's woodshed! LOL
