I FINALLY made it to Michael's a week after Christmas to check out the sales - LOL - yeah, a little late, but I work in retail and that was the soonest I could get there. To my surprise I found a few really good bargains, a very few!!
This stamp by Stampendous was one of them! I was just drawn to it sitting there all by itself. Entranced by the sentiment asking Jesus about His first Christmas. There was no doubt it would end up at home with me.....then the question was what to do with it. Since I am committed to getting my cards done early this years (just finished up a few that didn't get sent, so I for sure feel I have a head start....I'll take it any way I can get it), I thought I would play with this stamp. It looked pretty barren all by itself on the front of the card, and holly and things just didn't seem to fit surrounding this sentiment. Then I thought of digging out the vellum and stamping with Staz-On and layering it over on of my favorite Mo's stamps of the Baby Jesus colored with my Copics. Yep, worked for me and I look forward to coloring and layering a few more of these sweeties.
Decided to put it in the Fan Club challenge my friend Katie told me about - like I said I am doing what I can to get ahead on next year.

Sherry, this is so sweetly beautiful!!! Love-love-love the words, and reminded me of a fav song, "Mary did you know". Precious lil image under the vellum. Your cards always pull heart strings. Lymi

I love this MO image too, and what a fantastic idea to layer your new find over Baby Jesus - stroke of genius, my Friend, and the words are heart-touching - we all need to have a conversation with Jesus, and this is a great starter for our hearts! You surely have a magical imagination to stir hearts!
