 | | I made this card by creating the background first. On Georgia Pacific white cardstock, I placed a torn Post-It note to create a mask for the snow-covered ground. Using a brayer, I applied SeaShells Cloudy Blue dye ink and ColorBox Ice Blue chalk ink to create a basecoat. I then sponged on Adirondack Sailboat Blue and Distress Ink Faded Jeans dye inks around the edges of the scene. I painted the snowflakes with Copic Opaque White and removed the mask.
Then, on X-Press It cardstock I stamped the Repeat Impressions image "Snow Skating" with Marvy black dye. I colored the image with Copic markers, adding some detail to the scarf and hat by drawing with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. I cut around the image with detailed scissors.
I stamped the image again, this time directly onto the scene, so I could have the swirl from the ice skates. I adhered the snowman to the scene and added Icicle Stickles to the swirl for some sparkle. I framed the scene with black cardstock and a piece of patterned paper from My Mind's Eye. A sheer white ribbon was added to the card.
