This week our Teapotter Challenge is to make a card celebrating the birth of grand-baby twins to one of our own! The challenge was to add two of something - one in blue and one in pink because, I'm sure you guessed it . . . one baby was a boy the other a girl!
Baby cards are not easy for me so I confess that I quickly perused the gallery to see what I could some up with! I had already chosen the image but it just wasn't coming together.
A bunch of digi elements on this card. I laid out the 2 different papers in my page layout program, added the lace borders. Made the background transparent on the sentiment (TLC Creations) and copied , pasted and flipped the bears to make a second one (note, the blue one is a tiny bit bigger because Theo is a bit bigger! and I also deleted the artist's signature on the second once because it would have been backwards!
Printed everything and cut out the bears. Coloured with a combo of Sharpie/Bic markers and prismacolour pencils. Doodled the edg in blue and pink. I think typing the thread in the buttons may have been the most painful part of this card! Just like the doodling, I mixed up the colours to bring this altogether and my final touch was the heart button in the centre! tfl and Happy New Year to all my Teapotter friends!

They are so cute in their little outfits, Charlene, all soft and cuddly looking. Love the contrast between the floral pink button and the plain blue one. The two colours were certainly fun to work with as far as layouts went - lots of cards reminding me a bit of the split negative technique.
