Hello everybody! I have another little card this evening to share with you. I was asked to create a sample card for the Fan Club Christmas Spirit challenge for January 2013! How exciting! I love Christmas cards so this was right up my alleyÂ….and the best part was the topic of the challengeÂ…Christmas Wedding! Ooooo, even better! Create a card based on something borrowed, blue, new or old? Absolutely! I canÂ’t wait to see all of the Christmas beauty that this challenge will inspire. Here is the link to find out all of the details for this wonderful challenge: January Christmas Challenge 2013 **Christmas Wedding** by Twinshappy at Splitcoaststampers
When I think of wedding, I think old fashioned, ivory lace, pearls, cameosÂ…you knowÂ…all that stuff that just makes you sighÂ…so, I decided to make my own cameo from paper. I used several Spellbinders dies in ovals and floral ovals and the center of my cameo was the sweetest little oval holly stamp from StampinÂ’ Up! that I embossed in white. The border of my cameo was embossed with 3 coats of silver powder to really give at that metallic look. I really like how it turned out and the opportunity to use my heat gun was a bonusÂ…lol! The sentiment stamp is a sweet little one from a Flourishes set and I framed it with another Spellbinder die. The background is one of my favorite embossing folders that I have been using like crazy lately! The blue paper was some I had left over from a SU! paper packÂ….I think it is Brocade Blue but donÂ’t hold me to it! Lol! I finished the card off with the last bit of ivory taffeta ribbon I had been saving and LOTS of pearls. I hope this will give you some inspiration to play along and get a BIG jump start on your Christmas cards for next year! Thank you so very much to Stacy for asking me to make a cardÂ….I am so honored and I had so much fun making this! Oh, donÂ’t forgetÂ….when you post your card make sure you use SCSCCJAN13 in the keyword section! Happy New Year ya'll! ;)

Pat took the words right out of my mouth! YOU made that cameo? WOW that's incredible! I was sure it was a bauble of some sort. Those dies and embossing folder are gorgeous. Thanks for posting details!
