 | | This is for a very special young woman who chose ivory, navy and silver as her colors. I had a hard time with the ivory and silver combo, just couldn't see it in my head.
I first cut the birdcage from silver glitter paper, which was just too much, so I tried silver shimmer paper. Hmmm - not enough. Did a faux silver treatment on the shimmer paper and really overheated the ep in spots to make it look a little more interesting. Still, not satisfied (go figure), I slightly offset the glitter paper cage beneath - loved it!
The birds really are ivory, too but Glitter Ritzed, so they look white. Thought for sure I had ruined them when I brushed the chalk on the wings, but they grew on me.
Even though you can't tell in the pic, all the cs is shimmery. It's really pretty, and if we have better light today I'll see if I can get a better photo.
(I uploaded a much better pic taken during daylight - amazing what a little sunshine can do!)
