What a fun challenge! I love emboss resist! And I needed a birthday card for a SIL. Since she is the only true winter bday and lives where they usually have snow, I thought the snowflake bg was the way to go.
The images are all from DRS Designs. The whitest snowflakes were white embossed then I sponged on some of the blue inks. The fainter snowflakes were then clear embossed on top and more blue sponging added. I like the bit of depth the two embossed versions give to the bg. On the inside it says: Snow doubt about it, it's your birthday!
Thanks so much for looking! It's on my blog: The Write Stuff

We were thinking alike on this challenge. I love this pretty card and the sentiment is fabulous.

This is truly a WOW, Julie. You get such wonderful and vibrant blues with your sponging....I can always spot one of your cards in a gallery when you use the blue and/or green tones. The snowflake bg is beautiful.
