Michelle posted a great Ways to Use It challenge today - "Resolution Check In" - use our 2012 resolutions to craft one more card for the year.
One of my resolutions was to have more cards on hand for things that crop up unexpectedly - eg. the need for sympathy cards, thank you cards, etc. So I got out one of my favourite sympathy stamps and did this card. I used a technique I've seen others use on SCS where you make a background for the stamp by swiping Copics of different colours over the cardstock and then stamping on top. To fill the space of the card, I added a narrow embossed strip down the right edge and covered the line it left on the cardstock with a narrow ribbon.

What a beautiful sentiment....I love it. I like how you kept the focus on the sentiment by coloring with the various Copic colors. A beautiful sympathy card!

I think I need to adopt your resolution because I'm always scrambling! You took on the hardest card of them all, too! Way to go! Have a fabulous 2012!!!

What a great resolution Susan, it is definitely easier to create cards, especially sympathy cards ahead of time... I tend to have very few simple "just birthday" cards for Adults on hand...what a great sentiment and pretty card
