Here's my card for today's Ways to Use It challenge - Resolution check - I resolved to use what I have purchased - and for this card I used a Poppy Patch Spellbinders die that I bought a while ago and have not used!
I die cut the poppy patch out of white card stock - sponging the poppies in Ranger Distress Festive Berries and the ground area with Iced Spruce before removing it from the die.
It was a little tricky getting this out of the die with the skinny stems - I ripped the paper the first try - then I die cut a piece of wax paper to see if it would release the paper more easily. It came out better after this but I still had issues right in the center where all the stems cross - hopefully as I use this more it will cut more cleanly...???
I embossed a Nestability Square on the card and adhered the poppy patch inside the frame with foam tape. The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse

I resolve not to be enabled by talented designers like you.....LOL! I LOVE this poppy die!!! I can see where the thin pieces would be very fragile. I have a bow die with similar thin pieces. Not only do I use wax paper, but I also have a thin metal plate I use with intricate dies. It helps a lot. Your card is so pretty and striking in the red, mf.

Just stunning, Julia, I love the way you've used the die!! They don't have wax paper here so I use the equivalent of Saran Wrap which works well for intricate dies.

Those ARE some TEENY stems - I'm impressed! I'd need a few card bandaids if I were to use that. Gorgeous card you made to close out 2012! Way to go! Have a fabulous 2013!!!
