I'm back to the embroidery. This one is an abstract done on a bg created using paints and shaving cream. The colors of paint used are Twilight Blue Pearl and Rose Gold Metallic. The threads match pretty darn good. I even got the inks matching pretty god, though here I am as usual, off kilter with my stamping.
If you couldn't tell, I love the color of periwinkle. Paired with the goldish brown, it's so pretty.
Plus when you do use the shaving cream bg's, you get a wonderful smell.
This pattern is from a book called Embroidery on Paper for Cardmakers, by Annie and Nico Heesakkers.

This design really turned out nice on that bkg. It is nice to see it up close on a card. I need to get started on my paper embroidery. I have the red scarf about 34 finished. It is just a simple stitching so goes pretty fast.

Jennifer, this is just so beautiful!!! Your background is amazing with its swirls and bits of color! Your paper embroidery is beyond compare!!! I especially LOVE how you even have some over-lapping each other. This reminds me of whisps of pretty little feathers caught in a twist of wind! ABSOLUTELY into my favorites!!!!!

Perriwinkle is one of my favourite colors - and your bg is absolutely amazing, Jennifer...I'm fascinated at how you were able to get your embroidery to play along so beautifully with the bg pattern!! It makes me think of clouds of fluffy feathers floating in a swirl!
