 | | I wanted to play with my window die and also with the Martha Stewart Sparkle Texture I bought after seeing Loll Thompson use it for snow. I decided to do two cards - one looking out of the window from inside to outside, and the other the reverse.
This one is looking into the house and seeing a Christmas tree with gifts under it. It's for the CAS Party Challenge "Glitz and Glamour" - I'm bringing presents to the party wrapped up in shimmery paper with gold bows. The little presents are stickers. The tree is a Spellbinders die.
I also have to credit Loll for her idea of cutting three of the window dies to give them more dimension. I put a piece of plastic (recycled from a Spellbinders package) between the top two layers. I mixed the Sparkle Texture with a bit of white acrylic paint to thin it down enough to spread nicely, and painted snow on the outside bottom edge of each window pane. It wasn't quite sparkly enough so I added a bit of glitter to it.
I used the brick wall embossing folder for the outside of the house and added a few punched snowflakes to it and to the window.
