For the scrapbook theme challenge 8- special memories. I didn't finish it in time, but I thought I'd upload it anyhow. The journaling is on the pull out tag, and reads:
"It is so hard to believe that this was 5 years ago. It was your last Fathers Day… of course, we weren’t sure it would be, but you were pretty ill by this time. It was a beautiful day; the sun was warm on our shoulders, and the lightest breeze was whispering in our ears. You were feeling pretty well that day, so Mom and I decided we should go on a picnic. Jon and I spent the afternoon at Great America, enjoying the perfect weather, food, and rides, while you stayed home and rested up. Then Mom and I went to the store and bought fried chicken and potato salad, pop and chips. We packed the coolers and headed out to the forest preserve in Wadsworth. We picked out a spot by the little lake. Jon and I played Frisbee and acted like goof balls, while you and Mom just enjoyed time together, and laughed at us.
I love this photo of you and Jon; you look so handsome, just the way I will always remember you. And you are wearing one of your favorite shirts. You were so happy to have your hair back, and finally let me take your picture. "
I stamped the hearts from Sage Advice in Versamark on the tag also.
