This week our cards are headed off to Eaton Rapids, Mi. To the husband of fellow SCS'er and Teapotter, Charlene (LilLuvsStampin). Terry has been having some significant health issues and needs the Teapotter touch.
It's all about Clint Eastwood and his many western movies.
So I went with Paint your Wagon, the bg is done with the shaving cream technique ala my Mom's way, and that's using paint.
There's nothing about piercing, but any good cowboy knows that you've got to do some piercing to do the lacing on your leathers.
Hang em High for the embroidery.
The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly for the punching.
This is an Erica Fortgen's pattern. My Friend Pam lent me her new book while she is borrowing my old ones. I love this horse head and was anxious to do it, so it was perfect for this challenge. There's 3 colors of thread used, with 2 of them combined for part of the mane. The eye was done using the negative hole from a punched hole, first shading with brown w/c pencil and then with black for the outer rim. A dot of white gel pen for the sparkle.
I've had fun doing lots of the shaving cream bg's using MS paints. You've got a wider variety of colors, especially since there are metallics and pearls and even glitter paints. And it smells so good.

I love the smell of shaving cream so I should try one of those bg's too. Beautifully done, Jennifer; such a neat idea to use thread in a different way on your card!
