Toni has a challenge today to do some fussy cutting. With all the dies out there, it's becoming a dying art. It feels good to take our basic scissors and do some cutting. I needed a sympathy card...so I took an embossing folder and cut out just the portion I wanted...added some piercing to it. I made the circles by using my eyelet punch. Added the sentiment and a tiny butterfly. tfl

Linda, you never fail to teach me something I hadn't thought of before. NEVER thought of cutting out part of an embossed sheet - it's brilliant! And using the hole punch in strategic places makes this look like paper lace (Battenburg?). This card is gorgeous, and very soothing and comforting for its purpose. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful card Linda..I like how you used your eyelet punch to crate circles..very clever. And the scored lines add a bit of interest opposite the cut out..lovely sympathy card.
