I really wanted to try the Try a new technique challenge today. I am a little late in posting because my Mom had a doctor's appointment.
Here's how Judy describes the process:
Libby {aka stampinlibby} has an awesome technique to share with you that looks like so much fun - and the result is so cool! It's called PAPER MOSAIC and here are the instructions per Libby:
1. Choose patterned papers you wish to use & cut into small squares.
2. Apply a small amount of Mod Podge to your base cardstock with a paintbrush - work in small areas at a time so it doesn't dry too quickly.
3. Attach your mosaic squares to the Mod Podge. Add more Mod Podge and repeat.
4. After all squares have been placed, cover entire area with another layer of Mod Podge. Set aside to dry.
5. Once dry, stamp your image in permanent black ink (I used Ranger Archival) and trim.
First, I stamped the snowglobe with Versafine. Then I added the paper quares. (I used adhesive squares and made my paper square size.) Next I embossed the snow globe with white embossing powder and trimmed it down to size. I stamped the deer and background images with Versafine. The I added Glossy Accents over the "globe" section.
The base is all squares too, but some of the paper squares are too close in color to see the differences. Anyway, VERY fun and interesting challenge!
Thanks so much for taking a peek!

Kathleen, this is so lovely AND artistic! Love how you used the paper mosaic inside the snow globe for a very modern look to your Christmas card....combined with the terrific DP.
