Poster: Blooms in a Box

Oh...a new addiction has taken over. Pinterest. Yes. When I saw the recipe for "Satin Hands" on Jille's "One Good Thing" Blog I had to try it. And this mix is fabulous! Makes your hands as soft as a baby's butt, and I love the soft pink color of the mix!

I recycled a napkin ring (roses) and some canning jars. This size is so perfect, (4/$5.99 at Orchard Supply Hardware, Balls 8 oz. Collection Elite) The tray and lil spoon are from the Dollar Store, and the pink gems came from the wedding decos at Hobby Lobby. The tag is framed with Spellbinders, and the computer generated font is cut with a Verve tag die.

I had to sand paper the metal lid in order to glue the ring insert to the screw top, using Elmer's. The ribbon and crocheted lace is tacked on with hot glue. I can see changing this up to suit different tastes, and cannot wait to make another.

Thanks for looking! And thanks to Jillee for this idea!

Oooooooo, that sounds nice! Girlie, you sure did package it up quite pretty too! A silver tray and spoon to boot....only you, my dear friend could make a Ball jar look like that! Absolutely bee-yoo-ti-ful! :)

Oh my word, this is heaven to anyone who likes to "dig in the dirt" of their garden!! Nobody could make it look as good as you did, Sis!! What a fantastic present - for someone else - or even for yourself - cardmaking can make your hands dry and this "satin soft' feel can rejuvenate them - Over the top GREAT IDEA - thanks for passing it on!! HUGS!

What a beautiful thing you have made here. Looks so precious, refined, and elegant. The whole picture is full of treasures. Wow!

Pinterest is a scary place - you get on it and then you look at the clock and you have lost 2 hours, have pinned 400 things, have a list a mile wide of things to buy or make, and then you can't stop thinking about them until you do some of them. LOL. Even Crystal's boyfriend is addicted!

LYMI! MYMI too!

Be careful Pinterest is addicting....but sooo full of great ideas. Love this little jar of goodies. Sugar scrub is a favorite of mine, it really does leave ones hands feeling baby butt soft. Of course, presentation is everything and you have adorned this beautifully, I would expect nothing less. Way to go sweet lady.
