Oh, there's always a story, isn't there? Just arriving home from a wonderful trip to Wyoming, where the snow covered hills (and roads) provided awe....until a huge buck leapt in front of our slowing moving truck. We did not hit the deer. We did spin out of control for about 300 feet, landed in a ravine...going the opposite direction. No damage to the truck, no damage to us, and we did no harm to anyone else. And, six sets of people came to our rescue- in the middle of nowhere!
The man that pulled us from the ditch was about 30, had a cowboy hat, and a BIG 'ol truck. He inquired "what happened"? Bubba told him about the deer. With excitement, the man said "Did ya hit 'em?" No, says Bubba. And the man says, "You's suppose to square up on them thangs"! Lol! It was miracle stuff, and we felt blessed. So that is the story.
With that in mind, when I saw this card by Anne, (jdmommy) I knew it was the card for my Man! Lol! He got a chuckle from it, and so did I! Thanks Anne, for the inspiration. I used this link to print the required pieces, and after a bit of (forgive the term...) math...ugh...I did it! It is quite easy if you don't struggle with numbers and measuring, but I do.
Thanks for looking!

What a cool card Pat!! I like the bg and how you created more character in the deer's rack. It does sound like you and your hubby were mighty blessed coming home from Wyoming!! I'm glad that you or your truck weren't hurt, and that the deer didn't get hurt either. What an experience!!

Gracious, Pat, this sure doesn't look like you struggled with any "math" at all - love the texture on the deer's rack, and the branches that I am sure the deer jumped out of to make you spin out. So glad you had the Lord watching over you on that trip, and it sure did inspire a great card for your DH's BD card - You sure rocked this one (whether you want to admit it or not, you did the math just fine!)
