I started this page for the Dec Santa Sack Progressive Challenge over in the Digi challenges here on SCS, however, the page had a mind of its own and I couldn't wait for next week's task so I went ahead and finished it up keeping in mind the Creative Crew Scrapbook Focus for this month as well as the Scrapbook Variety Challenge to use a Seasonal Song on a page.
I used MDS2 and had a great time using new tools - like the free form line too for the mitten string! I kept it simple using the Be of Good Cheer Digital kit, along with only three embellishments - Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Brads and the new Merry Woodcuts kit (which I recolored Gumball Green for the light green hue). I used three punches, the Hearts Collection 1, the Perfect Pennants Circle Punch 1, and the Get It Done punch 1. The Holly & Ivy comes from the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set.
Journalling says:
On Christmas Day 1994 we booked a sleigh ride at Heritage Ranch. It was a beautiful, cold, sunny day but the weather did not dampen the spirit!
Justin sat right up at the front of the sleigh for the ride, and was fascinated by the horse - especially when he realized that as the horse was walking he was also passing gas. He turned around with a look of disgust and awe "Mom, the horse is FARTING!" he whispered.

Tee hee, Terri--cute story. Sounds like it could've been one of my DGDs saying that. Sometimes things aren't as romantic as we expect them to be, but still fun!

Great story, and the song fits perfectly with that picture! I love how vibrant this layout looks with the red and green, and the mittens are really cute.
