Hello everyone! Long time, no post for me but I am really excited to share this little project with all of you! A while back I was asked to be the December guest designer for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge. I must say I was surprised, honored, humbled, excited, and nervous all at the same time! Many of you know that I am not usually at a loss for words, but on that day I was! I will be posting my projects here on my Splitcoast gallery every Tuesday until Christmas (no post on Christmas Day) for this wonderful Flourishes challenge.
I am so honored to be able to play along with these very talented ladies and the fun part is that ALL of you can play along too! I hope you will check out the weekly Timeless Tuesday challenge ( http://flourishes.org/category/chall...eless-tuesday/ ), get the details, and join us for a fun filled Christmas inspired crafty time!
The challenge this week is to make an Altered Christmas Project. Create anything BUT a card with a Christmas theme. This could be a treat item, decoration, banner, giftÂ…whatever your little heart desires! Once you create your masterpiece, be sure to link up from your Splitcoast gallery or your own blog to the Timeless Tuesday challenge for an opportunity to win a prize! I look forward to seeing all of the beautiful projects that this challenge will inspire!
I chose to decorate a simple Wilton treat box (it already had a little window to make it really easy!). I used the adorable Fresh Baked stamp set from Flourishes. This is definitely one of my favorite stamp sets! I stamped my images on Flourishes Classic White cardstock, colored them with Copics and cut them out with my X-acto knife. Next, I made a little sleeve from some hoarded October Afternoon paper I had been saving for a special occasion, punched out a green scallop trim, and stitched them together. Next, I used some Spellbinders dies to make a little frame to showcase the goodies inside the box and sprayed the frame with some shimmer spray. I stamped my sentiment on a little banner, used some antiquing ink on everything, assembled the frame, attached my images and sentiment with foam dots. Then, I slid my little sleeve over my box of goodies and used a little grosgrain ribbon and pearls to finish it off. I canÂ’t wait to see what everyone else has created! Thank you so very much to Flourishes for this wonderful honor!

Wow this is so pretty! I love this Flourishes set and how you have used it. Your Nestie is just perfect for it along with the pretty lil pearls. I never would have thought of doing this and it's such a neat idea. I may have to case your idea. Super project and kudos on the guest designer. Flourishes knows talent when they see it!
