I am going to have to start over on this one! When I saw this wind chime on a post with a neat mottles background, I knew just what I was going to do. Well, the best laid plans do not always work but I went through so much work for this, I am posting it anyway.
First I painted the background with two different colors of LuminArte' paint. For the leaves, I made the paper by putting Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber down and dried it, painted it with gold and gree LuminArte' paint in the areas I did not put the first paint. Dried it all and then punched the leaves.
After all of this work, it looks TERRIBLE! It has all the shine and glimmer I wanted but it DOES NOT look like the wind chime. So.....I will find something else to do! tfl http://www.signals.com/signals/Shop-...s_cti-8AA.html

the creative process often takes twists and turns and sometimes we just have to accept that the final product isn't anything like we planned....but that's okay!!!

I think it came out great! I can see all the thought processes and work that went in to it and even if it's not what you saw in your mind... it's still lovely and very artsy!!!

OMGoodness - I agree wholeheartedly with Joanne, the creative process sometimes takes over and it's Okay!! And sometimes when you look back at it later you'll see it's really not as bad as you thought!! And this it just like that - I love your beautiful and very creative elements here!! Hugs

We are all our own worst critics, and I personally would love to see this card IRL. I bet the "shimmer and shine" is gorgeous! Take another look at it tomorrow, I bet it grows on you.

Part of the creative process is learning what we like ... and what we would do differently next time ... I think it's a lovely inspired design ... particularly the effects with the papers ... stunning.
