I have been wanting to make an Advent calendar that actually holds a treat, and I came up with this - the retired #2 Box Sizzix XL die. Mostly SU, although I did use some non SU buttons, ribbons and things I had on hand. I cut a piece of wood to exactly fit behind the lip of my bookshelf, so I don't need to screw it in or clamp it (Photo has it on mantel, but I don't think I would be safe there fully loaded). 1 1/2" #8 screws with large rhinestones to hang the boxes. Retired SU eyelets for the top to put the ribbon through. You can't see it well but I heat embossed the sides with Jolly Jingle Bits or a few with numbers of the day before I assembled the boxes.

Very nice. I like the way you used the box #2 which holds a little more than some of the calendars I've seen. They all take so much work that I have not even attempted on. I hope you are able to use it for MANY years.
