Monday's Technique challenge was Emboss the Edges. I gold embossed my edges of the Very Vanilla panels. After I put it all together, I kind of wondered if I should have added gold embossing to the edges of the leaves/poinsettia.
This is also for today's sketch challenge.
I die cut the poinsettia out of Very Vanilla card stock. I wanted a soft tinge of pink to my poinsettia so I inked up my square lattice embossing folder with the Spun Sugar distress ink and dry embossed the poinsettia. I also sponged the edges of the petals and the leaves.

GORGEOUS, Charlene. Love the pink-tinged ivory poinsettia(the real ones are some of my favorites), Love how you paired it with the sage green(Sage Shadow is my all-time favorite SU color...still mourning its demise). The combination is knock-out. The gold embossing lifts it to a VERY elegant card.

Oooh, Charlene...love what you did with that ef...gorgeous poinsettia! The combination of the sage shadow, gold and spun sugar is so non-traditional and so beautiful! Love it!

Charlene, this is gorgeous! I love the soft pink poinsettia ... and the texture from embossing the petals is amazing! Great design using the sketch challenge. Love the gold edging on the panels too.

You achieved the perfect color for pink poinsettias and the diecuts look so much more special when run through the embossing folder - this is fabulous!
