I wanted to make a masculine Christmas card - no bows or flowers. I made the background by embossing in white He Shall be Called stamp and sponged in various shades of brown to give the illusion of the candle illuminating the background. I cut out a candle and colored the light and added glossy accent to make it shiny. Then I added liquid applique to the top part of the candle and heated that up which in turned bubbled up my glossy effect...live and learn! I added some greenery to the bottom of the candle.

Gorgeous!! I love the shaded bg, which gives depth and as you say, looks like the candles glowing upon it! Your candle is super, especially how you've done the drips!
