Janelle had a little extra "challenge" to the sketch this week: to use decorative tape (i.e., washi tape) if you have it. I think it's cool, but have, literally, ONE roll of tape to my name. I purchased this cool black with white tape from the Witch Hazel Halloween collection. I also knew I wanted to use this awesome sentiment from Verve's Bountiful Harvest. So, while the sentiment is very appropriate for Thanksgiving, the black tape led me down a very different color palette.
I love these papers from MME, and how cool does the black dotted paper mimic my washi tape?
There are only two people to whom I could give this sentiment, my dh and ds, so I kept the embellishments minimal and, hopefully, more masculine. Will be giving to dh.
I used two fishtail banner Die-namics from MFT, and some cranberry rhinestones in three sizes from Pizzazz Aplenty. |
