 | | I have been wanting to make really pretty Thanksgiving placecards for a few years but always get sidetracked with the cooking (Can you believe they want to EAT on Thanksgiving????). I was inspired by Arizona Maine (http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...08?&si=mum) and the beautiful mum she created. I did not have the exact punches she used but I improvised with the Daisy #2 die. Arizona Maine recommended using Raspberry Ripple ink on yellow cardstock - which is brilliant. It really makes the coloring realistic. The center of the mum is a 1/4 inch X 4 inch piece of cardstock fringed and then quilled. (give it a roll to break the fibers before you fringe it - it keeps it from ripping while you are quilling) After it was rolled up I gave it a quick dip in some water, shook it off and then a quick dip in some diluted raspberry ripple ink. Happy Thanksgiving!!! |
