Ok, I did exceed the 45 minute time but this Soot thing had me a little crazy. I am embarrassed to post this but want to encourage others that we all have our moments of non-greatness. This was try #3 to do the soot stamping technique. I only got a couple of edges caught on fire this try. You can see that lovely winter scene, can't you? Just wanted to be able to post something for all the 5 challenges.

I like the "distressed" edge look! I think its amazing. And if you look at the small image, it looks like there is and eye in the middle! At first I thought it was a photo overlay! TFS!

I LOVE the look you achieved! I laughed when I read about you catching the edges on fire--on my first soot tech. try I was pleased that I didn't burn the house down--I made sure to do it over the kitchen sink, with water close by! The misty-like background is just wonderful with the winter trees! Well done.
