I actually made this for my DH as he was headed on a business trip to Washington DC at the same time Hurricane Sandy was going to hit. Luckily he did not end up going and stayed home with us. Now I have a card to give him another time, always prepared! :0) First I stamped my image from A Guiding light onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. I then die cut the circle using Spellbinders Classic circles and Scallop circles. My boat is colored using copic collections sky, flesh tones, flesh tones 2, creamy and true blue. I did a little faux stitching around my designer paper from Authentique Loyal collection. This paper is perfect for masculine cards. Tied off my beautiful ivory iridescent ribbon with a button and kraft jute combo and voila! I do really like making masculine cards.
What a perfect male card...love this image, your coloring and dps. So glad your husband was able to stay home with you. I was glad to have my hubby here while the wind was howling all around us...and no electricity!
