For my VSN Mini challenge - and for this to come in at 35 minutes given the way I make cards surprised me! I started out with just the glossy card, candle and heron stamp, so a certain amount of time went in finding the cattail stamp for the background, a needle to thread the loose ends through to the back and a white gel pen that worked!
A2 Bazzill base. I stamped a Penny Black cattails stamp with markers on some MME paper and stitched with brown thread. Soot Stamping tutorial can be found here. I used Winsor & Newton Artists' Fixative to seal mine, and then cut with Deckle Rectangles. It's layered onto another rectangle cut from green Bazzill and pierced. I used the die as a template to add white lines to define the image panel.
Woodware sentiment punched with word window punch. Image panel popped up on foam.
As this is a much more masculine card than the one I originally made for this week's TPT challenge, I think this is the one I shall be sending Bob!

Sabrina, this is just gorgeous! My dad will love whichever card you have sent - they are both perfect! I just made a card with burnt edges the other night - I will have to try this technique. I love the colours you have chosen. Going into favs and thanks so much for whichever card you sent!
