I made this card for a couple of challenges, the first being for last week's Queen - Chris Olsen aka Glowbug. I visited her gallery several times since she became Royalty and every time I came back to this amazing creation: { ChrisÂ’s beautiful Peace on Earth card}
Changes were minimal - Changed papers and sentiment, used different Cheery Lynn Flourish, and added the Dragonflies.
Chris - your gallery is amazing, your style exquisite and your faithful messages beautiful and uplifting. I could spend hours and days taking in all the beauty - which I nearly did LOL!! I wish I could have finished and uploaded this sooner .
This card is also for Saturday's IC361 Challenge - Judy shared the most amazing website for the home called The Artful Home - I love ornaments and was immediately drawn to this image: {Jade Dragonfly Art Glass Ornament}. So beautiful but a bit pricey .
To make this card I diecut the Label One dies, cut extras of the two back panels then fussy-cut/trimmed them down and Embossed for added texture, then die cut the Dragonflies. Since I didn't have the wonderful oval that Chris used I delicately cut/trimmed the medium sized square Decorative Label, then glued it back together as a Rectangle. The seem is invisible !!! I also glittered the dragonflies with blue, green and a touch of red Stickles (these little babies didn't dry until the next morning).
This card is for a wonderful friend who LOVES all things sparkly, and has such an affection for Dragonflies that she actually 'plays' with them when watering her garden. One even landed on her finger when she was out on a boat with her hubby one time. How cool is that!!??!!
Chris - I hope you enjoyed your reign, and again my apologies for being late. Thank you for sharing all your amazing creations - you're a true inspiration . Hugs and blessings.
Thanks everyone for taking a peek.
Hugs,
Audrey

Audrey, you pulled out all the stops on this one. To case Chris is as hard to case you in my opinion. I would have picked a simple card from Chris' gallery, but you went all the way and recreated a card in her honor that reflects her style and spirit. I still have a card I want to make for her, but, it certainly won't be of this magnitude. It was well worth the wait for the dragonflies to dry as they came out spectacular and what a special tailored touch for your friend. The sentiment is awesome and I can't believe all the cutting and extra detailing you did to make this card come together. Oh, why oh why can't I be YOU??? LOL! Chris will adore this twinzi!

This is spectacular. I can't tell you how much I am just over the moon for those dragonflies-they are exquisite. They have just enough sparkle and the pearls for their bodies is dynamite. You ROCKED this one to the max!
