Some days when you see the challenge your heart sinks to your knees (like yesterday for me), but other days you just plain get excited. This is one of those challenges for me for today's HYCCT challenge Cork, Canvas or Clay (or burlap). I love using natural elements on my cards. I had already made the bg piece taking a back of a card and embossing it in the Tim Holtz woodgrain ef that was inked with Soft Suede. I added my burlap strip then the canvas/twill tape along with some strands of burlap string pulled from my piece of burlap. I added another rough element with the torn corrugated strip that I also sponged a bit. I inked my solid leaf with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. I then inked the small leaf garland image with Early Espresso and kissed that onto the solid before stamping onto Vanilla. I crumpled the leaf a bit after cutting it out then sponged some Soft Suede on the edges and layered over my torn cardboard (ala BobbiesGirl SC374 - Just Leaves by BobbiesGirl at Splitcoaststampers ). I stamped my sentiment in Suede on Vanilla then added some leaf garland in stamped off Espresso. I punched then sponged with Suede and popped it over my twill tape.

Wow, Wow, Wow!! That is fantastic! Love the embossed background and the beautifully stamped leaf and sentiment. Funny that you mention your heart sinking to your knees when you see certain challenges...that was me today! Your card is just perfect!

These textures are totally awesome. I love the wood, the cardboard and the burlap all so rich in texture and the natural tones just add to the beauty of it all.
