Today I was inspired by another sweet friend, Karen (Redbugdriver) who made this stunning card. I was so taken with the beauty Karen created, and I so needed a CAS, even tho I totally struggle with this type of card. My card needed to be single layer, with no embellishments at all! Mercy...that hurts! It took me four tries before I got this, and am so pleased at how it turned out. Karen, thanks so much for your encouragement and prayers! (I know that did it!)
This card is for a friend in need of kind words, and this Scripture speaks so loudly to me, I hope it touches his heart too. The Scripture is from Our Daily Bread Designs, and is framed using reversed masking. I added my all time favorite leaves, grass and blooms from Rubbernecker's Kitty Kits. The clouds were made by sponging Bashful Blue randomly over a torn paper towel.
Thanks for looking!

GAH! I think I am actually witnessing a first...could it be?....a one layer card from the Queen of Embellishment? Yes, I was confused at first, wiped my eyes, made sure I wasn't seeing things...but it is, in fact, a one layer beauty by Blooms herself....which I am guessing is in response to a question I asked her earlier, "Is there anything you CAN'T do?" Well ladies, the answer is "NO"....Blooms now makes One Layer Cards too....what is the world comin' to? Great! The one area I thought I might be able to hold my own....but not now....lol! Girl, you know I'm messin' with you....this card is fantastic!! I can't believe you haven't been makin' these all along! Yeah, ask me to make a one layer card before I have a chance to see what you're puttin' out there....I'm sunk now 'cause I already said I would do it...lol! ;)

LOL at Miss Katie - you sucked her right in Missy....but then again you love a challenge, and aside from some prayers, I'm bettin the throw down to her got your creative juices flowin on this one. I have no doubt you can do anything you put your mind and little fingers too -another lovely and stunning creation. Your scene frames this scripture perfectly, uplifting and lovely.

One layer card - I am guessing you can count on one hand how many times you have done that since you first started making cards! I just figured this was the inside of your card since it was only one layer. I thought to myself, "Wow, that Pat is now spending some major time on the inside of her cards." (Not that you don't already but this is unbelievable). And I was getting on to myself telling myself that I needed to give the insides a lot more attention. Then I read this was the front and I still wasn't believing it and had to read the comments to be really convinced. Now I see it was a challenge. Beautiful work - you made that Kitty Kit dance my friend. Wow. Hugz and LYMI!
