when I saw that Chris or aka...Glowbug, was the queen of the week I had to be a part of the honouring of the queen. Her work is Fantastic.. I had so much trouble picking one, I ouwld choose a card to case, and then see antoher , and then switch...lol...another reason I am so late in this challenge, couldnt decide and her work is so pretty and needs a bit more time so took me more time to figure out and finish. thanks for the super fun galleyr tour Chris....again..:0)
I also am hitting the lovely challenge at ODBD...to use acronyms from the word L.E.A.F...which today I am using
L...Leaves
E...Embossing
A...Adhesive Pearls.

I loved her soft candy canes and design. I had a stamp quite close so I thought would be a pretty style to christen it...:0)
Escept I started with bit redder ink so went more traditional with it and used red instead of the pretty soft pink...think might try it again with the softer colors. I cut out the die-cut hole, then embossed the page. stamped and colored the pic. with markers, glued that piece underneath. added the little strips with the golden swags and the lace. I didnt have a nother pretty lace to go overtop like Chris did so I made a leaf strip and holly.
I then finished it off with the pearls and bow and sentiment on the bottm which I just cut out with the scissors and sponged the edge.

Oh my, what a beauty you have here.... and such a great case... Love the embossing along with the pine, holly berries, pearls, and of course the great candy canes.... We always had a candy cane in our stocking along with fruit and nuts.... You just brought a treasured memory to me... Thanks so much....

What a stunning card Wendy!! I just love all the embossing and your addition of the twig/leaves!! So elegant and beautiful!! The candy canes are a beautiful focal point. Gorgeous Christmas card!!
