Geez-- How to turn a circle into an oval?!! For this week's try-a-new-technique challenge, we're to cut up an image. Well, I'd already had this wreath colored and filed away. I sliced it up, spread the strips apart and glued them to another piece of cs... (Straight and even are unnatural. impossible.) Popped up an oval with the sentiment in the center.
Then, I realized this card would work for hycct.22-- using one.
One image (Sure, it's sliced into 8 pieces.)
One die cut oval (embossed to show two)
One sentiment (8 words, 42 letters)
"One" is also unnatural.

That oval was a circle? I remembered before I started that my square would end up a rectangle, but I think I'm pretty glad I didn't even start on the circle route. It looks great, though! From the thumb it made me think of looking through a window with blinds.
LOL at one being unnatural. I had fun thinking of the most minimalist card I could make for Denise's challenge, though I didn't actually go there in the end.
You did a brilliant job of turning your circled wreath into an oval ad the slats between the image does give the effect of looking through a window.

I love this! Looks like a mini blind. Also love that you didn't do squares, but just strips. Way cool with great results. TFS :0)

Brenda, Like some mentioned before....it looks like your looking on the outside of a window looking in, and there are mini blinds on the window. Love your colors. tfs....Like how you discovered how to make an oval.
