This is my card for Jennifer's "peaceful pink" HYCCT challenge 15A.
She wants us to create a card that evokes peace, calm, and serenity with a touch or splash of pink.
So I knew I wanted to use SU's blushing bride on this card. I think it is such a soft color.
After reading Jennifer's description of her own cancer treatment, she mentioned she finds peace in the birds singing outside her window.
My bird stamp is "bird & butterfly labels from Our Daily Bread Designs. It coordinates with Spellbinders labels 18.
Stamped my image in baja breeze ink and then sponged the bg with distress inks.
My serenity stamp sentiment is unknown. A friend of mine gave me a sheet of sentiments but they had no company name on them.
My card layout is this week's sketch from the ODBD blog. The card bg is blushing bride and I used the SU fancy fan embossing folder.
My dsp is from SU's "twitterpated collection". I layered it over baja breeza and used a SU scalloped edge die.
Added some blushing bride sation pleated ribbon, a ribbon flower and punched a butterfly from the dsp to complete my card.
