 | | My first attempt at something with crayons for the WT yesterday was a write-off. So I resorted to the Crayon Resist tutorial, since I have several white crayons acquired in a vain attempt to succeed with the crayon rubbed embossing.
Jeanne's F4A challenge today gave me the impetus to think, while at work, how I could finish it off and make a card for one of the HYCCT challenges :D.
I enjoyed finding enough letters to fit Lori's HYCCT Spelling Challenge, since I already had the T from my torn edge.
A2 base. I stamped a HA script stamp down the edge in Frayed Burlap, and sponged Broken China along the inner edge.
Paper is BG Basics Manila, torn and sponged, with lace added along the edge.
I found the little yellow flock-paper butterfly in my box of punchies :D.
Image panel is the poppy from Oh So Lovely stamped on glossy card with StazOn. I coloured it with distress inks and then coloured over it with a white crayon before sponging with Peeled Paint and Broken China while still in the die. Edges sponged with Wild Honey. I added some pearls and popped it up on foam.
H - half pearls
Y - that ubiquitous yellow
C - chevron edging on the lace
C - crayon resist
T - tearing, text stamp.
