 | | When I saw pinking shears I knew I'd be using my mom's. This is dedicated in her memory. She was the first person I lost to breast cancer. That was 1984. I also used this PI set b/c she was a seamstress & made so many clothes for my girls, who unfortunately hardly remember her. She also was my inspiration to become a nurse.
First I cut the circle w/ a nestie & trimmed around it w/ the pinking shears (Mom is probably cringing b/c I use them on paper not fabric). My image is colored w/ WCW crayons. The sentiment is also in the set, but using the stamp positioner I used only the words I wanted. Some corner piercing finishes this. Oh, there's also glossy accents on her shoes.
I hope this will bring some joy to someone at MD Anderson Cancer Center, as it did to me to make it, even though I'm now crying.
