This was inspired by Jessica Witty's spread in the Stamper's Sampler Take Ten, Winter 06 issue, p. 95. I thought it was so neat how she'd used markers to create these striped backgrounds, and then overlayed images stamped in black ink. It really made the images "pop". So, I messed around with creating a plaid effect directly on the rubber image by inking first with apricot ink, then taking a pink marker and creating the plaid effect. I kinda like it!
The edges were tapped against craft ink in a deeper pink, and then embossed with irridescent clear embossing powder. I used pinking shears to replicate the petals on the punched out daisy, to the flower featured on the stamp image, to create an echo effect.
I think this is an awesome and fun stamp set to work with! Lots of possibilities!!!
