This is for the HYCCT Challenge to use text on our card. I love stamping on dictionary pages so that's where I went with this one. I inked my tree with Soft Suede and thumped with Garden Green then stamped onto the page. I chose to stamp around the word strength, however, the word directly above was "streetwalker" so I made sure to place my sentiment carefully! I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla in the CB Rebecca ef and cut out the oval center and sponged the edges with Soft Suede. I stamped my sentiments onto the edge of the dictionary page and lightly distressed them and added a bit of sponging. I added an, uncharacteristic for me, bling flourish and also a more typical for me twine bow.

LOL about the 'streetwalker' challenge you faced. Love the way you overcame the obstacle, and really noone will ever guess that the sentiment placement isn't doing double duty. Your flourish works beautifully with the oval as it snuggly wraps itself around sides. Great card.
Thanks for participating in my HYCCT challenge, I really appreciate the effort, and so will many others who will be touched by your gift of cardmaking for this cause.

Now I wouldn't have caught the "streetwalker" thing and would've been totally embarrassed.....cause that's the kind of luck I have! Your card is lovely with the black and white vintage look. Love your black rhinestone swirl too!

Absolutely beautiful. I love the rhinestone swirl the way you have it placed on the card. I'm not really into bling, but you made it a focal point while illuminating the rest of the card.
